Please make sure you help CULL with others!
WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Photo Culling!
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Culling removes the bad shots from the equation early on so you don't waste time editing images that won't see the light of day. By eliminating duplicates, test shots, and total fails from the start, you can invest your editing hours into images that matter.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will perform a series of culling in preparation of building our yearbook!!
While the camera gives a unique file name to each photo, it can be hard to find just what we are looking for when building the yearbook.
Photo culling is the process of selecting the best images from their photo session by: going through all your images from a shoot; identifying the winners of the lot; discarding duplicate, blurry, and over- or under-exposed photos; and then marking them for the next step in the post-processing workflow — editing.
You have all been invited to a folder on OneDrive
Go to OUTLOOK
Look for an email from me!
toni.eamigh@fresnounified.org
Click OPEN (it should open)
DO NOT CLICK SHARE!
ONE DRIVE SHOULD OPEN
REMEMBER to BOOKMARK THIS!
On the top right, click the STAR!
Inside this ONE DRIVE folder are all the photos from this school year!
Find one of the events or sports that YOU are now assigned.
For Example:
If you have Varsity Football, you will open the SPORTS folder and choose Varsity Football
SPORTS are located in the SPORTS folder by Sport.
In some cases, there will be multiple folders inside.
Events like PINK OUT will also be in this folder!
Please leave RED folders alone!
Click the name on the folder to open it!
Inside you will find the photos
On the top right click the menu and select TILES
All folder should have a FAVORITES folder
Click the FAVORITES FOLDER to open it
The folder should currently be empty!
To go back, click the folder one up in the thread
For example, here you would click "Varsity Football"
Selecting images you want to use!
Now you need to select the images we might want to use!
Start looking at the thumbnails to see which images you want to "FAVORITE"
When you find an image you like...
Drag it to the FAVORITES folder!
Another way , if the photo won't easily move....
Right click on the image and select MOVE TO
Select the FAVORITES FOLDER
When it opens, click MOVE HERE
on the bottom right!
If you see a BAD photo (blurry etc) you may delete it...but make sure you are sure...
PS. "Bad Photos" have been added to each folder to make sure you are culling thoroughly! >;)
If you want to see the photo larger, simply click on it!
To get credit!
Go through ALL photos
Don't just pick the first ones you see!
Look for 50-100 that can be used!
Good Luck!
Ctrl+Alt+Delete then select SIGN OFF!
