WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Building a Resume with Adobe Creative Cloud Express
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: A resume is important for high school students because it serves as a professional profile, showcasing their skills, accomplishments, and interests to potential employers, colleges, and scholarship programs. It helps them apply for part-time jobs, internships, and volunteer opportunities, and can significantly impact their college applications and scholarship efforts.

Click the Creative Cloud Icon on your DESKTOP to go to your Adobe Creative Cloud files!
On the right, find Adobe Express and click GET STARTED!

Let's create a RESUME!
Click the blue circle with + to create a new project...

In the search, type RESUME
Select Resume (8.5 x 11in)
(Click to Browse Templates)
On the left... TEMPLATES

Scroll through and select one you like! Choose one that includes a PHOTO!
Preferrably one with a WHITE background. (not a requirement but saves when printing!)
Click on it to begin!
Name your project on the top left

Name it "First Name Last Name Resume 2025"
Click the name

Type your First and Last name
Change your title to
Yearbook Specialist

Add a paragraph about you! (See paragraph above Class Projects!)

Change Work Experience to Class Projects
Click on "What are we doing" (above right on this website) to find what we did in the past!
Choose at least 3 projects like:
InDesign: Set up a Layout! (InDesign/September 2024)
Photo Management (Adobe Bridge/September 2024)
Advertising Posters (Adobe Express/October 2024)
Headline (Photoshop/November 2024)
Spotlight Photo (Photoshop/January 2025)
Write a sentence telling the reader what the project was about!
Each layout is different! Make sure to look each part over and update anything and everything that does NOT (or does) pertain to YOU!

Click the button, scroll down and click on your name to download your photo!

Click the FILES tab
Click PHOTOS (it should open)
Click _YB STAFF 2025 (it should open)
Download the version of YOU that you would like to use!
Change the photo!

Select REPLACE
On the left click UPLOAD PHOTO
Select the ORIGINAL (not cut out) photo you saved of yourself from TEAMS in your YEARBOOK folder...
Click OPEN
Once you have placed the image, CROP AND SHAPE to resize the photo where you want it!

Here you can resize, rotate etc!
You can even REMOVE BACKGROUND!
Click the Check mark (top right) when you are happy!
WHEN YOU ARE DONE...
DOWNLOAD!

Click DOWNLOAD on the top RIGHT (the arrow pointing DOWN)
Select PDF (pulldown menu)
CLICK DOWNLOAD
WAIT for it to Download!

Select Assignments
Select
Adobe Express: RESUME!!
Scroll down to MY WORK
Click +ATTACH
Click UPLOAD FROM THIS DEVICE
Select DESKTOP (on the left) then the YEARBOOK Folder
Find the PDF file we EXPORTED and select it:
Your Name RESUME.PDF
Click OPEN
Wait for file to upload
File will show up below under My Work
CLICK TURN IN!
NOTE: There MUST be a PDF file attached to get credit. Simply clicking TURN IN will not do!!!
