WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Candid Photos and Yearbook!
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Candids – Making sure you capture those unplanned, spontaneous moments is what makes a yearbook special and engaging. Having someone there to take the photos is important, but more important is getting the photo, so use whatever camera you have with you – fancy or phone camera, as long as you capture those moments!
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will follow along with instruction and use what we have learned to handle the camera properly!
WEDNESDAY CLUBS:
Asian Club, Campus Life, Chess Club, GSA, Key Club
D&D (Afterschool)
Check the schedules to see when you can take photos and interview!
Yearbooks aren't just about Sports or Events!
Creating a well rounded yearbook involves capturing the ENTIRE picture!
Last week you were asked to talk to a teacher in order to get permission to visit their classroom on Thursday, December 12 to take photos of students working in the classroom.
Did you ask???
Rules to tell teachers if needed:
Student will come by 15 minutes after tardy bell.
Student will not disrupt classroom or speak with friends etc.
Student will need to move around the room, taking different angles of students working on given assignments and/or teacher instruction. (teacher will be in photos also)
Teachers and students are asked NOT to pose...these are CANDID shots!
Do we understand Shutter Speeds?
< Slower shutter speed = MORE light Faster Shutter speed = LESS light>
Do we understand Aperture/F-stop?
In reality you never get to separate your shutter speed from your aperture. You are always going to use your shutter and you are always going to use an aperture. Period. They’re partners. They work together quite nicely.
