WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Photo Culling!
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Culling removes the bad shots from the equation early on so you don't waste time editing images that won't see the light of day. By eliminating duplicates, test shots, and total fails from the start, you can invest your editing hours into images that matter.
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will perform a series of culling in preparation of building our yearbook!!
While the camera gives a unique file name to each photo, it can be hard to find just what we are looking for when building the yearbook.
Photo culling is the process of selecting the best images from their photo session by: going through all your images from a shoot; identifying the winners of the lot; discarding duplicate, blurry, and over- or under-exposed photos; and then marking them for the next step in the post-processing workflow — editing.
