WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Candid Photos and Yearbook!
WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Candids – Making sure you capture those unplanned, spontaneous moments is what makes a yearbook special and engaging. Having someone there to take the photos is important, but more important is getting the photo, so use whatever camera you have with you – fancy or phone camera, as long as you capture those moments!
HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: You will follow along with instruction and use what we have learned to handle the camera properly!
FRIDAY CLUBS:
Board Game Club, Laos Club
Rock Climbing (Afterschool)
Check the schedules to see when you can take photos and interview!
Yearbooks aren't just about Sports or Events!
Creating a well rounded yearbook involves capturing the ENTIRE picture!
Yesterday you were asked to talk to a teacher in order to get permission to visit their classroom on Thursday, December 12 to take photos of students working in the classroom.
Did you ask???
Rules to tell teachers if needed:
Student will come by 15 minutes after tardy bell.
Student will not disrupt classroom or speak with friends etc.
Student will need to move around the room, taking different angles of students working on given assignments and/or teacher instruction. (teacher will be in photos also)
Teachers and students are asked NOT to pose...these are CANDID shots!
Adjust your workspace
Click the WINDOW tab
Workspace>Reset Essentials Classic
This will make sure the options bar at the top is visible!
Each image in your layout...
Each image must be scaled proportionally.
To do so:
Choose the DIRECT SELECTION TOOL (the WHITE arrow)
Click on each photo and check its size!
In the Options panel, look to the X and Y percentage boxes.
The percentage should be EQUAL! The example above is NOT!
Make sure the LINK Icon to the right is not disconnected!
To fix this, whichever percentage is LARGER click the up arrow to the left of the number
Use the Direct Select Arrow (white) to move your image within the box!
Your image will have shifted...
Now go and adjust your image!
CHECK ALL IMAGES!!! All images need to be proportionate!
Next! Check that you have NOT used an image more than once!
Look at your page...
Are any images used more than once?
Are any images used in the Title AND the page.
Go through all IMAGES!!!
Replace images on your layout if they are used already in the TITLE or in another frame on the page!
