WHAT ARE WE LEARNING: Housekeeping

WHY IS IT IMPORTANT: Organization is SUPER important in our technology world. Keeping files in order and creating certain methods makes life alot easier!

HOW WILL MY TEACHER KNOW WHAT I LEARNED: Today you make some changes to your computer and do a little housekeeping!

DOWNLOADING

What you NEED to know!!!!

Make a new folder on your desktop...

Right click on your desktop

Select NEW>FOLDER

A new folder will appear

Name the folder...

If the name is not highlighted, right click the folder name and select Rename

Name the folder: YEARBOOK

STOP! SHOW ME ON YOUR SCREEN!

CHANGING THE BROWSER!

Open CHROME

On the BOTTOM LEFT CORNER of your device/computer

Click the Windows logo
A menu screen should come up
Click the Settings button
A Windows Settings box should pop up

In the search bar type browser
Select "Choose a default browser"

Scroll down to "Web Browser"
Click on what is listed
(Note: Default will be Microsoft Edge)
From Choose an app, select GOOGLE CHROME
Close window (Click on X on top right corner)

Let's change a setting!

Open CHROME

Click the 3 dots on the top right and choose SETTINGS

On the left, select DOWNLOADS

In the downloads box, click the CHANGE button

<On the left,

select THIS PC then DESKTOP then YEARBOOK FOLDER

Click SELECT FOLDER (Bottom right)

In the downloads box, click the CHANGE button

You DO NOT NEED TO CLICK IT!
